Most employees don’t know which system owns their question. They know they need an answer about a paycheck, a leave of absence, a laptop, or a policy so they search a portal, guess at a category, open a ticket, and wait. That method–used widely today–is search, hope, and pray; it is not service.
The average large enterprise owns somewhere between 15 and 25 discrete pieces of HR technology. Every one of them was bought to solve a real problem, and every one of them added a door for employees to knock on. AI can’t fix that fragmentation on its own. It only helps when it sits on a clean front door with clean knowledge and clean integrations behind it.
This is what our EmployeeWorks PATH solution is built to do: make it dramatically easier for an employee to get help at work, and make the platform you already own deliver more of the value you paid for.
So, what does good look like?
• Fewer basic questions reach your teams. Routine questions get resolved automatically against your own content, so HR and IT staff spend their time on the work that actually needs human attention.
• One experience for every function. HR, IT, facilities, and legal behind a single, modern, consumer-grade entry point. Employees ask in plain language without ever needing to know the org chart.
• More return on what you already bought. This is an amplifier on your existing ServiceNow and Moveworks investment, not another platform to fund.
AI-Powered Self-Service in Action
Wellstar, a health system that has partnered with Stridepath for roughly 5 years, cut Tier 1 support tickets by 80% after rolling out this approach with Moveworks and ServiceNow. How did they get there? Wellstar engaged Stridepath for a Review & Recommend project focused on conversational AI. We came in, reviewed what was live, and found the root cause limiting the system’s performance: Knowledge Articles were written in a way that weren’t consumable by employees in the portal or AI.
The lesson is simple: AI needs something reliable to work with. It needs to be able to find the right knowledge, understand the services available, access the right data, and connect employees to the right actions. Through our Review & Recommend engagement, we helped Wellstar look at its knowledge and services through that AI-readiness lens, defining how they could be optimized to support Moveworks and future AI expansion.
What’s Next
You don’t need a multi-year roadmap to start. An AI readiness workshop can assess your knowledge and services, identify the strongest use cases, and uncover what needs to happen before you scale. Start with the foundation. Then build from there.
